Like nothing else in Melbourne. And for one month only. The Makers of Ballarat are proud to present the most eclectic showcase of culture, collectibles, products and produce, each complete with the artisan’s story, as well as one-off events.

The pop-up itself is original in every respect. From the store tags and carry bags right through to the concept walls, counters and shelving, each component has been chiselled, turned, stitched, soldered, moulded, dyed and painted by the artisans’ own hands. A celebration of age-old skills alongside the quirky and contemporary.

From Truffle salt and oil, bushfood spices, or fresh farmed trout smoked for your tasting pleasure to Saori woven and dyed clothing, one-off ceramics, jewellery, hand-forged knives and cordwainer-crafted shoes. There will also be prints and original artworks, among so much more. In all, a range of products as eclectic as Ballarat and as individual as the makers themselves.

Tastings, workshops, demonstrations, masterclasses. The Made of Ballarat Pop-Up Shop is where you can pick up hints from the experts, learn new skills, watch the makers in action and even try your own hand. Much more than a shop, this is a stage, a studio, a foundry, a mill or any manner of creative space. Unleash your inner artisan.
